Cooperation with biobanks
Bank of biological material (BBM) of the First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague is involved in the national biobank infrastructure of the Czech Republic BBMRI-CZ. The infrastructure was built on the basis of the project “Project BBMRI-CZ in the establishment of the Czech part of a widely distributed research infrastructure of pan-European significance: the creation and operation of a network of banks of biological material for biomedical research”, (BBMRI-CZ I), of the Ministry of Education Youth and Sport, between 2010 and 2015. From 2016 (until 2019) a follow-up project will be in course: Bank of Clinical Samples (BBMRI-CZ II), whose objective is the long-term collection of samples and the processing of biomaterials.
