Cooperation with biobanks

Bank of biological material of the First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague (BBM 1FM CU) is involved in the national biobank infrastructure of the Czech Republic BBMRI.cz. The infrastructure was built on the basis of the project “Project BBMRI-CZ in the establishment of the Czech part of a widely distributed research infrastructure of pan-European significance: the creation and operation of a network of banks of biological material for biomedical research”. This cooperation continues to the present day.

Sample collection

The collecting of samples for BBM 1FM CU is performed in the cooperation with General University Hospital in Prague. Currently the collection of specimens is performed particularly at:
